Providing Essential Resources to Parents & Children
The YWCA of Northwest Ohio is on a mission to help women be successful in all facets of life. From self-care to parenting, the nonprofit provides programming and tools to create healthy connections.
SERVING PARENTS, CHILDREN & FAMILIES
The YWCA Child Care Resource and Referral provides services for families and early care and education professionals. The organization helps parents find daycare providers that align with work schedules, assistance for parents on a variety of parenting topics, and collaborating with community organizations to develop services that affect children and early childhood education. The YWCANOW also plays a vital role in matching foster children with loving families.
The YWCA Northwest Branch provides several special areas available to the public for use at no charge. A child-friendly, safe playroom area is available to parents who may need to meet with their children and/or other family members in a neutral environment. The nonprofit also has a library stocked with book and interactive educational games for community members to borrow at will. The Teacher Resource Space is perfect for teachers and early childhood educators to find paper, stamps, laminators and other supplies to bring lesson plans to life.
