Working Together to Find a Cure for Cystic Fibrosis

ReVision LASIK and Cataract Surgery is proud to support the research and education efforts of The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF) Central Ohio Chapter – Columbus. Cystic fibrosis is a rare, genetic, life-shortening disease that affects every organ in the body and make breathing difficult. Some people with the disease compare it to breathing through a narrow straw.

The NOSH Gala Annual Fundraising Event

ReVision Gives Back donated to the Foundation’s annual NOSH Gala fundraising event. This ticketed social event is an evening dedicated to raising awareness and funds through silent and live auctions. Joining forces with Cameron Mitchell Restaurants, a fellow supporter of The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, ReVision showed their support by sponsoring the Chef Station at the NOSH Gala.

Special appetizers created by the talented chefs from the Cameron Mitchell Restaurants were featured at each station. The chefs incorporated cystic fibrosis-friendly ingredients into each recipe, such as goat cheese and bacon, which are high in fat and an essential dietetic component for those with CF.

ReVision highlighted the vision-friendly ingredients within each recipe that contain nutrients to help promote eye health, such as kale. Recipe cards featuring all appetizers were given to guests of the NOSH Gala and are also available at ReVision while supplies last.

Getting Involved Makes a Difference

In addition to the NOSH Gala, The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation hosts several other fundraising events in Columbus to bring awareness to the disease and raise fund for CF care centers, which provide vital resources and support to patients and families in our community.

The NOSH Gala raised over $101,000 for The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. ReVision salutes the efforts of the CFF is confident their hard work will lead to a cure. Dramatic improvements in the length and quality of life for people with CF are a direct result of the Foundation’s investments in quality care and research.
