Making Dog Bones AND a Difference
Partnerships, Pups & Purpose. That’s what Growlers Dog Bones is all about! This energetic nonprofit employs Bakers with special needs to make delicious dog bones from spent grains donated by local microbreweries. It’s a great concept that’s good for the environment & GREAT FOR THE SOUL. WATCH VIDEO to learn more about Growlers.
ReVision had the pleasure of going behind the scenes with the awesome team of Growlers Bakers as they invited us into the kitchen to show how they transform spent grains into tasty dog treats. They even use donated oat pulp to bake horse treats lovingly named Whinnies.
Growler’s mission goes well beyond baking dog bones. The nonprofit provides opportunity and purpose to those with developmental disabilities through training, employment & volunteerism. Those hired as Bakers receive a paycheck and learn the responsibilities that come along with having a job.
Individuals and businesses can support Growler’s mission by keeping the Bakers busy making bones! Bones can be purchased in the taprooms of numerous local breweries or by placing online orders. Businesses are also tapping in to this great resource for a fun, unique give away to customers. Growlers packages bones in custom packaging featuring the company’s logo. The business then distributes packages to their customers. It’s a great marketing tool for realtors and home service providers! WATCH VIDEO to learn more.
The ReVision Gives Back donation will help Growlers purchase supplies and support their mission of providing meaningful employment for those with developmental disabilities. Visit the Growlers Dog Bones website to see how you can show your support!
